More About Me

My name is Spencer, I'm 28, and I was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa when I was 14. My vision has aggressively gotten worse over the last 14 years.

I went from driving to school, playing high school soccer and basketball, going to the movies, to getting my drivers licensed taken away, not being able to play sports, not able to read books, to not be able enjoy movies, to having a lazy eye (see the picture of my beautiful wife and I)

My vision went from 20/40 when I was 14 to 20/800 now.

Being visually impaired is not easy nor is it fun or ideal. But I've found out some ways to make life easier via technology, support groups, friends, family, and a great attitude.

I want to share everything I've learned and experienced WITH YOU. That way you can be better prepared on how to help your visually impaired loved one.

My Family

My family is my pride and joy.

My beautiful Wife, Madison, and I currently live in Idaho. She puts up with my visual impairment and doesn't let it stop her from loving me unconditionally. She helps me so much on the daily it's unbelievable. I don't know what I'd do without her. Learn some of her tips and tricks in the Group!

Claire is 3 and Wrenley is 1, both of them light up our world and remind us every day of how lucky we are to have both of them.

And Nike, our Labradoodle.
